Polygiene readies The North Face for Japanese summertime

The North Face, Japan (part of the Goldwin group), has incorporated Polygiene’s Stays Fresh technology in two unisex styles of sneaker, the Shuttle Lace WP and the Shuttle Slip-on WP, ready for spring-summer 2021.

Sweden-based Polygiene, a specialist provider of anti-odour technology for textiles, provided its Stays Fresh technology for the lining and footbed of each shoe, according to a press release. It is hoped that this treatment, reportedly effective for the life of the product, will help to extend the sneakers’ useability for longer.

Polygiene chief executive, Ulrika Björk, said: “It is great to see that The North Face, Japan, has extended their footwear collection with the Polygiene-treated Shuttle WP series. The collection will continue to grow over the coming seasons as Japan recovers [from the pandemic].”

Suitable for various weather conditions, Polygiene Stays Fresh is Bluesign- and Oeko-Tex Eco Passport-certified.
