Icepeak stays fresh with Polygiene in China
30/09/2021
Men’s, women’s and childrenswear articles, ranging from leisure stretch trousers to shirts and skirts, have all been treated with the Malmö-based company’s antimicrobial technology, which Polygiene said can minimise the growth of odour-causing bacteria.
The intention behind the technology is to help lessen the number of times an item needs to be washed, therefore reducing the energetic and economic load, plus the amount of time spent washing clothing. In turn, the company said that this improves the chances of the garment itself being “saved” from the need for increased washing.
A spokesperson for Icepeak in China emphasised the brand’s commitment to environmental issues and said that Polygiene’s Stays Fresh technology would provide its customers with a “more sustainable, eco-friendly" option.
