Outdoor Industry Association revamps board

The US-based  Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) has elected two new members to its board. 

Toad&Co chief marketing officer (CMO) Sarah Matt and Merrell CMO Janice Tennant will begin their three-year terms in July.

OIA executive director Lise Aangeenbrug said: “The new directors will help guide the association to navigate the changing needs and challenges facing the industry and into a future with thriving outdoor businesses, thriving outdoor communities and a thriving planet.”

The three returning directors are BioLite CEO and co-founder Jonathan Cedar, Helen of Troy SVP Marketing Phyllis Grove, and Patagoniavice-president of global wholesale Bruce Old.

Moving off the board are Outdoor Afro founder Rue Mapp, following six years of service, and Grassroots Outdoor Alliance director of retailer membership and education Dana Howe, following three years of service.
