Rapid acceleration for Brooks
Footwear brand Brooks Running has reported a record $1.1 billion in 2021, an increase of 31% year over year.
The US company’s revenue has doubled since 2017 despite covid-related challenges from 2020.
In fact, it credits customers' pandemic-driven lifestyle changes for driving sales.
During the year, it introduced the Ghost 14, making its highest-volume style carbon-neutral through a combination of recycled materials and carbon offsets.
It also launched the Aurora-BL shoe, which included DNA LOFT v3, a nitrogen-injected cushion compound, and a decoupled midsole to support natural movement.
Jim Weber, Brooks CEO, said: “Crossing the $1 billion threshold is especially gratifying as it reflects the outcome of a 20-year focus and commitment from our global team to inspire and serve runners.
“I am optimistic the best is yet to come for the run community and for Brooks.”
