K2 takes on all-purpose ‘icewear’
Seoul-based outdoor brand K2, owned by sportswear group K2 Korea, has announced plans to launch a new line, Code10, which it described as everyday “icewear” for both men and women, due to its use of cooling technology.
Not specific to any kind of activity or pursuit, K2 told reporters that the pared-back line of joggers, polo shirts, t-shirts and trousers had been designed with both the casualwear consumer and local summer temperatures in mind.
The brand also said that the functional nylon cooling yarn used in Code10 clothing would be new to the domestic market, adding that the range will be further differentiated by the yarn’s moisture absorption rate - reportedly almost twice that of more conventional nylons, attributable to a “special material contained in the yarn”.
