South Korean cycling and gear brand NSR, founded by activewear manufacturer Shin Textile Solutions in 2011, has incorporated an array of technical textiles in its autumn-winter 2022 assortment.

Members of national-level racing team KSPO Professional have acted as models.

The collection features Trizar fabrics, based on NASA-designed protective ceramic coating material and developed by US-based manufacturer Emisshield, which licenced the technology back in 2001. Trizar textiles can either increase or decrease emissivity and are engineered to work with the body to manage heat flow.

LIT (Low Impact Technology) Innovation’s InfraCycle similarly functions by harnessing the body’s own energy to generate a wavelength of light that can support blood flow, plus help regulate body temperature and moisture retention. It does this by infusing carrier fibres, natural or synthetic, with reactive natural minerals.

Japanese fibre and textile developer Toray’s 3DeFX+ insulation has also been used in padded products. The material relies on four different multi-denier, hollow-core spiral yarns to act like wool to retain heat and ensure breathability, all the while giving 360-degree stretch.

NSR operates more than 30 brand-owned retail stores and works with over 200 domestic distributors.
