A new tracksuit in the adidas by Stella McCartney range marks a first for the sports brand. 

Following in the steps of its Futurecraft Loop footwear project, which it launched in 2019 to demonstrate that shoes could be “made to be remade”, it has now unveiled a sportswear garment that can be remade when consumers have finished wearing it.

This project involves using post-consumer end-of-life textiles to make Infinited Fiber’s Infinna viscose fibre. This is then turned into a yarn blended with organic cotton for garment production. At end of life, consumers can send the tracksuit back for inclusion in Infinited Fiber’s recycling stream, where it can be broken down for reuse.
