OCA seeks proposals for expansion into Turkey
Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA) has issued a call for proposals from qualified third-party validators to establish and steer its flagship farm programme in Turkey. The deadline is March 2.

Launched in 2016 alongside founding partners Textile Exchange, Eilieen Fisher, H&M, Kering, Inditex, C&A, Tchibo and Laudes Foundation, OCA is an Amsterdam-based body which seeks to catalyse responsible, resilient and transparent organic cotton supply chains “from field to fashion, for people and the planet”. The multi-stakeholder organisation has previously limited its work to farms in India and Pakistan.

According to the project brief, OCA expects to initially work with around 80 farmers in Turkey.

The chosen auditor, either an individual or an agency, will variously be expected to plan and execute on quantitative data and qualitative information gathering from project farmers, collect samples and collate gin-level chemical residue test reports from implementing partners, deliver detailed performance improvement reports and produce a year-end report, among other responsibilities.
