Feel the Yarn returns to Seoul after 12-year absence
Italian knitwear trade show Feel the Yarn is set to travel to Tokyo in mid-October, prior to making its return to Seoul for the first time in 12 years on October 18.

The exhibition most recently popped up in Shenzhen in late September, following events in New York, London, Paris, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Munich during June and July, where it also presented next year’s autumn-winter collections from a selection of Made in Italy suppliers. Participating firms work mainly with those from the sportswear and luxury segments.

Organisers of the event include Prato-based yarn promotions association Consorzio Promozione Filati, in addition to the Italian Trade Agency.

Feel the Yarn’s activities also extend to an annual knitwear contest for international design students, an e-learning platform and a bilingual trend publication. The enterprise has been spearheaded by Ornella Bignami, creative director at Milanese knitwear and textile industry consultancy Elementi Moda, since 2009.
