New partnership leads to fabrics combining Celliant and Repreve
A new version of Celliant that incorporates Repreve recycled polyester fibres is to become available.
Celliant uses a blend of bioceramic minerals embedded into textiles to convert body heat into infrared energy, returning it to the wearer’s body and, thereby improving circulation and cellular oxygenation.
Hologenix, the company that created Celliant, says the material can improve the athletic performance and the health of people wearing it.
Under a new agreement with Unifi, the maker of Repreve, Hologenix will now make the new version of Celliant available for a number of applications.
A preferred partner, Beverly Knits, one of the largest circular knitters in the US, will now develop fabrics containing Celliant and Repreve for markets including activewear, outdoor products and intimate apparel, as well as for mattresses and bedding and fabrics for use in automotive, industrial and medical applications.
