Sweaty Betty prepares for Liverpool summer splash
London-based activewear company Sweaty Betty has announced it will open an approximately 240-square-metre boutique inside open-air shopping complex Liverpool One, which on opening will become the brand’s largest retail store in northern England.
The store will occupy a unit along Peter’s Lane and is due to be inaugurated in June.
Chief operating officer at Sweaty Betty, Mark Smith, called the location "strategically important" and contextualised the new site within plans to expand the company's footprint, both globally and closer to home in the UK.
The brand, founded in 1998, has been owned by US footwear group Wolverine World Wide since 2021.
Grosvenor-developed Liverpool One opened in 2008.
