Sweaty Betty breezes past challenges to grow 45%

Revenues increased by 45% year on year (YOY) to reach £183.2 million or roughly $207 million, the company said. Digital channels trades strongly over the period, which included covid-related store closures in the UK between January and April 2021, it added.
UK-based customers delivered 67% of sales in 2021 (down 3% YOY), with the US and rest of the world accounting for 21% (down 1%) and 12% (up 4%), respectively.
Changes to the board, now five members strong, included five resignations between May and August of last year, with three new additions on August 2, 2021, the date of Wolverine’s purchase of the business.
Sweaty Betty is set to make its Northern Ireland brick-and-mortar retail debut once doors to its latest boutique inside Belfast city centre’s Victoria Square shopping complex open later this month.
