Anti-microbial finish enhances Ventile fabrics
Switzerland-based performance textile producer Ventile Fabrics has announced that, from March 2023, it is making available to customers products treated with anti-microbial finish from NordShield.
Finnish textile technology provider NordShield uses wood-derived ingredients to create an ultra-thin, molecular-sized barrier on the surface of fibres to inhibit microorganisms. This acts as a shield and denies microbes a suitable place to grow or survive, enhancing the longevity of garments.
The textile finishing technology is biodegradable, sustainably produced, and free of heavy metals, borax, parabens, and quaternary ammonium compounds, NordShield has said.
