Xtep to donate another ¥100m in support of rural youths
Sports group Xtep, headquartered in Hong Kong, has agreed to extend its strategic cooperation with Beijing-based China Next Generation Education Foundation by another four years, according to local media.
Immediate plans for their continued partnership include a donation of another $14 million (¥100 million) worth of sports equipment by Xtep, which the non-profit will use to encourage the “healthy development” of youth sports participation in more rural and remote parts of China.
Xtep has been collaborating with the charity since 2017, during which time it has distributed resources to the value of almost $28 million (¥200 million) among 3,400 schools in 19 provinces, supporting just under 550,000 students in the process.
Reports went on to suggest that the group has given in excess of $70 million (¥500 million) in both cash and sports equipment donations to various social welfare initiatives over the years.
Xtep announced record-level revenues for 2022 back in March.
