Pakistan Accord publishes first supplier list
Administrators for the Pakistan Accord have published their inaugural list of just under 425 in-country suppliers, collectively representing roughly 470,000 workers and responsible for the supply of 52 signatory brands with textiles and apparel.
The database, correct as of July 25, will be updated as more signatories are onboarded and subsequently provide the organisation with their own data over time.
Titled the Factory disclosure report for Pakistan, the list gives details of business names, contact information, production processes and factory layouts.
“The data points provide important details on the structure, floors, workforce size and active brands within each supplier facility,” expanded executive director of governing body the International Accord, Joris Oldenziel. “We look forward to this information playing a key role in mapping the Pakistani textile and garment industry and in ensuring transparency and accountability within the supply chains of our signatories.”
