Twelve Apex Awards winners make a splash for Polartec

Performance fabric developer Polartec has named the winners of the 2023 edition of its Apex Awards. Polartec runs these awards every year to give recognition to brands and designers that have used its fabrics in their finished garments in ways that demonstrate durability and functionality.
There are 12 winners in the 2023 competition.

Indyeva Satu for the Polartec Isothermal Skirt, using Thermal Pro fabric, and Santini Cycling for its use in the Adapt Multi jacket of Power Shield with Biolon Nylon plant-based membrane, were among the winners.

Spoonflower was also on the list for a fleece that uses Polartec 200 Series fabric, digitally printed on-demand in the US using water-based inks.

Nike was a winner too for its ACG Wolf Lichen Caps, which use Alpha mid-layer fabric, as was Trangoworld for its TRX2 Hybrid LT Pro Jacket, a technical mid-layer jacket that uses Alpha fabric and is designed for outdoor and mountain activities.

The list continues with Millet, which won for its Trilogy MXP Power Wool Suit, a full suit made from Polartec Power Wool blend of a soft merino wool base and a highly durable synthetic exterior.

Senchi Designs is another Apex Awards winner for its Alpha 60 Hoodie in Alpha fabric, as is Acronym for its J117-HL– J117-HL hoodie in Polartec High Loft fabric, Rabbit for its Fuel n’ Fly 4” shorts in Polartec Power Dry, and Mountain Martial Arts for its Polartec Power Grid Zip Hoodie 2, made from Power Grid fabric.

Bringing the line-up to a close, Ciesse Piumini won for its Race Jacket, made from Power Shield fabric featuring a certified plant-based membrane derived from 48% non-food and non-GMO vegetable biomaterials, and Arc’teryx made the list too for its Kyanite Crew Neck Pullover in Polartec Power Stretch Pro.

Polartec said all of the 2023 Apex Awards winners were “forward-thinking product partners who embody innovation”.
