Millet ushers in local and high-tech made trail running shoe
French mountaineering specialist Millet is introducing the second edition of a trail running shoe made in France by ASF 4.0 (for Advanced Shoe Factory), a Chamatex Group company. As a brand partner of this highly automated facility, along with Salomon and Babolat, Millet can thus not only better control production, but also significantly reduce its carbon footprint.

Part of the brand’s Intense trail running range, it features a woven Matryx upper, a concept developed and patented by Chamatex. Combining nylon and Kevlar, the breathable and rugged component is made without generating waste and reduces manufacturing steps compared to conventional shoe designs. The reference is equipped with Michelin Reattiva soles, and its shock-absorbing EVA sole contains 25% recycled EVA.

Offered in three colourways, it will be available on Millet’s website and stores, including its latest boutique, which opened in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés quarter of Paris late last year.
