Millet opens largest store in France
Last week, French mountaineering brand Millet opened a new store in Toulouse, France. The 280 square-metre space is the company’s largest, big enough to house a Café des Guides and a repair atelier. Designed to be a space open to the local outdoor community, the store will be organising various events such as mountain safety or wildlife awareness workshops along with social runs, equipment tests and meet-ups with athletes and mountaineers.
This is the twelfth store operated by the family-owned company, which was founded in 1921. Seven are located in France and five abroad, in Italy, Belgium, Switzerland and Japan. Six Millet stores in France are run by affiliates. Millet has announced plans to open three to five new retail spaces every year.
