Outsyder thinking
It is described as ‘the last jacket you will buy’ and abides by stringent ecodesign principles: monomaterial make-up, from deadstock fabrics, manufactured in France. What is it? The Outsyder jacket, the latest item to come out of Inspyrations, a brand founded by Gregory Delamarre, who has decided to launch it on Kickstarter.

Inspyrations makes the most of the industry 4.0 machinery at TopTexCube, a garment-making lab and facility owned by Chamatex and located in the Rhône-Alpes region. The jacket thus features welded seams and is made waterproof and breathable by the presence of a PFAS-free Sympatex membrane.

Making the product in France gives the young brand some flexibility. It is offering the possibility of customising the jacket by colour (depending on the available deadstock fabrics the brand uses) and adorning it with an embroidered message. The custom colour options are limited to 150 items, the brand said.
