Eco-minded footwear brand Ector presented its new leather and knitted upper sneakers for this Spring. The brand is part of footwear design and manufacturing hub Insoft, founded by long-time Lafuma footwear manager Patrick Mainguene, and a part of Chamatex Group since 2022. Insoft now works alongside TopTexCube, the French group’s innovative apparel design and development division.

Ector develops two main lines of products, footwear with knitted or leather uppers. The sneakers with knitted uppers are monomaterial (made from rPET) and zero-waste design, the company pointed out. For its leather references, the brand sources its leather from Italy.

The new collection was developed in collaboration with French design agency Zebra. In addition to developing its own brand, Insoft also works for for other brands, including Puma and Mavic.
