GIZ opens DfS consultancy applications in Pakistan
German development agency Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit or GIZ’s Islamabad office has invited Pakistan-based textile and fashion businesses to apply for its Dialogue for Sustainability (DfS) change management consultancy service by April 19.
The programme is based on GIZ’s own methodology, which it says was designed to offer an alternative approach to audit-based operational assessments, from productivity to occupational health and safety, quality management, diversity and beyond.
It is focused on lean manufacturing and educating the industry on strategies for realising “a humane, gender-equitable, inclusive working environment” in its factories.
The agency aims to promote decent work through job creation and increased training opportunities.
