Young Scientist Award up for grabs
Young scientists specialising in fibres and textiles have until June 30 to apply for the 2024 Lenzing Young Scientist Award. The winning project will receive a prize of €5,000 from fibres group Lenzing.
Lenzing said it would welcome entries from bachelor and master’s students who are working on “innovative solutions to ecological challenges in the fibre and textile industry”.
It will present the award during the Dornbirn Global Fibre Congress, which takes place this year from September 11-13.
“Our mission is to shape a legacy for future generations,” said Lenzing’s vice-president for global research, Gert Kroner. “By encouraging young scientists, we support ground-breaking ideas and new thinking to solve the problems of today. Because we know that every small step forward, every new invention, is a step towards a greener tomorrow.”
