FFF NYC opens next week
The summer edition of the Functional Fabric Fair, powered by Performance Days, will be taking place on July 16 and 17, 2024, at the Javits Centre in New York City. Some 150 exhibitors have signed up.
Show organisers have released the programme of Expert Talks. Trend presentations by Alexa Dehmel and Nora Kühner open the show on Tuesday morning. They are followed by a panel talk on recycling claims, with Dr. Jan Beringer and Elana Frosk of the Hohenstein Institute and Mario Pace, of Bravado Designs. Kristoffer Schroeder, CTO at Rudholm Group, will be outlining the contours of future Digital Product Passport legislation. Natural materials are the focus of a panel talk moderated by Scott Kaier, of Formidable Media, with representatives from Allied Feather & Down, eVent, Lenzing and Woolmark. On the second day, an update on PFAS legislation, with Ammi Borenstein, of Snaplinc Consulting, is scheduled, along with presentations of new performance materials, by Claros, an UV protection solution, and Celys, a compostable polyester fibre.
Special events include complimentary coffee in Thermore’s igloo. Tuesday evening’s Happy Hour is sponsored by DriRelease and it is followed by a Social in the City at Mustang Harry’s, supported by the AATCC, Brookwood and the Functional Fabric Fair.
“Functional Fabric Fair is committed to providing valuable education to propel the industry forward. Attendees will gain insights into performance fabric innovations, cutting-edge technologies, market strategies and will have direct access to top thought leaders in the industry,” commented event manager Steve McCullough.
