YKK introduces repairable zipper elements
Japanese fastener maker YKK is introducing a new range of replacement solutions, called Revived Renewal, which will make it easier to repair broken or damaged zippers. A prospect that aligns with calls from the right to repair movement to lengthen the usage of apparel.

The repair kits are designed for YKK’s Vislon zippers and include die-cast replacement elements to replace those that have broken off the zipper tape using a special tool.

The range also includes three options to repair sliders and pullers. A Revived Replacement Slider for size 3 coil zippers is designed to replace broken sliders without needing a special device. A Vislon size 5 zipper is now available with a Revived Top Stop as an easy to remove and replace slider. For size 8 for Racquet Coil zippers, a new body and puller structure have been devised to replace broken slider pulls in the Revived Replacement Puller for Racquet Coil zipper.
