Pivotal step for Ambercycle as Arc’teryx pledges to use Cycora

Canadian outdoor brand Arc’teryx is to start using Cycora regenerated materials in its products in 2026. Materials science company Ambercycle, the developer of Cycora, announced the development on October 29.

Los Angeles-based Ambercycle said the deal would mark “a pivotal step” towards commercialising Cycora and the molecular regeneration technology the company uses to produce it.

Its technology involves breaking down end-of-life textiles into their original building blocks to produce a regenerated polyester fibres, which Ambercycle markets under the Cycora brand name.

Arc’teryx’s chief creative officers, Katie Becker, described the prospect of using Cycora in the brand’s products as exciting. She said the two companies had a shared vision of “evolution through circularity”.
