Reloop concept applied to teamwear
Reflo, a British sportswear manufacturer based in London, is launching a closed loop recycling programme for its teamwear. The concept was first rolled out by the company for football clubs and Formula E team uniforms.

Reloop garments are made from 100% mono-material recycled fibres and are designed specifically to be recycled at the end of their lifecycle.

As the company notes, sports team renew their kits every year or even every season, to accommodate new sponsors and/or to propose fresh designs. They are used intensively during a season, and are only good for the bin afterwards.

Reloop by Reflo provides an environmentally responsible alternative, the company said, as they are now collected and recycling back into fibre. Each Reloop garment carries a label indicating its recyclability through the Circular Textiles Foundation, founded by Tim Cross of Project Plan B.

“With Reloop, we’ve developed a fibre-to-fibre circular solution that allows us to recycle old kits into new offerings, fundamentally shifting the industry towards sustainability. This isn’t just about a few teams making sustainable choices—it’s an industry-wide transformation,” commented Reflo co-founder Rory MacFadyen.
