Hyperboot aims to transform warm-ups

Sports brands Nike and Hyperice have launched a boot designed to accelerate warm-up and recovery, the result of “years of work”.

The Hyperboot contains a system of dual-air bladders that deliver compression patterns and are bonded to thermally efficient heating elements that evenly distribute heat throughout the shoe’s upper.

This combination is designed to drive heat deep into the muscle and tissue in the foot and ankle.

Tobie Hatfield, senior director at Nike Athlete Innovation, said: “While we’ve long known that recovery is an important part of any athlete’s journey, we’re hearing from athletes that the concept of ‘pre-covery’ is equally as important. The Hyperboot helps get the body ready for activity, whether you’re playing for a title or you’re on your feet a lot at work.”

Anthony Katz, founder of Hyperice, added: “This collaboration is the culmination of years of work between our two brands to deliver innovative footwear and apparel for the athlete with the goal of enhancing their performance and recovery. And this is just the start.”

The  boot will be available in North America by mid-May and will expand to global markets later this year.
