Recreus, a Spanish company specialising in flexible materials for 3D printing, has worked with Balena, a developer of circular and biodegradable plastics to create a new family of filaments Balena Filaflex that combines both properties.

Balena Filaflex is thus both flexible and compostable. The company’s biopolymers have been used by Vivobarefoot and Stella McCartney.

Colombian fashion designer Neyla Coronel chose this filament to make custom 3D printed bras. The designer explained that PLA filaments did not have the necessary flexibility for this project.
