Fire at Teijin Aramid factory

Industrial group Teijin has confirmed that it is investigating the cause of a fire at the manufacturing facility its Teijin Aramid subsidiary runs at Delfzijl in the north of the Netherlands.

The fire broke out on August 6 and was extinguished in two hours. The company said there were no injuries.

It said, however, that the extent of physical damage to the factory and impact on production were still under investigation and that it still did not know how long a recovery plan will take.
