Wood-fibre joint-venture now under Spinnova’s ownership

Finnish fibre manufacturer Spinnova has brought to a successful conclusion its bid take full ownership of Woodspin.

It set up Woodspin as a joint-venture with Brazilian wood-pulp group Suzano in 2021, with the intention of scaling up production of its wood-based fibre. In February this year, Suzano said it was pulling out.

Spinnova said it had completed the transaction on October 3.
