Lightweight, flexible Freedom is Thermore’s latest insulation material
Specialist developer of thermal insulation for apparel Thermore has launched a new product called Freedom.
The Milan-based company described the product as lightweight and flexible enough to “move with the body in every direction” without losing shape.
It also pointed to its use of 100% recycled fibres in Freedom’s construction. PET bottles are one of the sources of these fibres, but Thermore said it had also used reclaimed materials from electronic components, including plugs, connectors and cables.
The company pointed out that the insulation material is easy to care for and is able to stand up to dry-cleaning and machine-washing. It has also used patented fibre control technology to prevent migration and help give the material “long-lasting stability and performance”.
