Future Fabrics Expo on show in Brussels

25/06/2026

A show dedicated to supporting sustainable innovation in the apparel industry, Future Fabrics Expo is on show at Brussels Expo alongside the Textiles Recycling Expo.

The 3,300 square meter show space is organised in a series of curated areas each focusing on issues relevant for the industry.

This edition has dedicated a section to microfibres and chemical pollution with information on the state research and possible solutions. Biodegradation and Textile Circularity focuses on designing waste out of the fashion system. Biosynthetics is another focus topic chosen for this edition, which is supported by Hyosung. The Korean conglomerate is presenting its biobased elastane at the show.

The Innovation Hub, supported by Performance Days, features innovative solutions derived with a focus on algae, natural or bacterial dyes along with new approaches to circularity.

Other curated sections are dedicated to footwear, regenerative agriculture and new supply chain solutions. This one includes companies in the likes of SEFF, Positive Materials and Interloop.

A series of talks is also scheduled. It includes a stakeholder session for Project Feedstock Activation Europe led by Fashion for Good; “Traceability in Practice” led by TextileGenesis; “The Investment Case for Textile Startups: brand and supplier case studies on scaling proven tech” led by Collateral Good; and “Collectively Overcoming Barriers to Scaling Next Gen MMCFs” led by Canopy.

Future Fabrics Expo was launched in 2011 by The Sustainable Angle, a not-for-profit organisation based in Switzerland.
