FENC showcases World Cup technologies at TITAS

Taiwan textile manufacturer Far Eastern New Century Corporation (FENC) is showcasing its latest products at the country’s performance fabrics fair, TITAS (October 6-8).

The company was a supplier to national teams in the 2026 FIFA World Cup this summer, as well as professional tennis players (pictured).

TopCool Petal, a moisture-management fibre, features a petal-shaped cross-section, delivering moisture wicking, rapid drying, a soft hand feel and enhanced opacity to help minimise the appearance of sweat-related transparency. The company said its adoption across World Cup team jerseys underscores the performance of Taiwan’s advanced textile technologies.

Beyond elite sportswear, FENC is accelerating the transition toward a circular textile economy. Building on its longstanding expertise in recycled polyester made from post-consumer PET bottles, the company has expanded into textile-to-textile recycling. Among these achievements, its AirTek low-carbon polyurethane technology has received international recognition, including Germany’s Innovation Award, Best CO2 Utilisation 2025, and Taiwan’s Outstanding Resource Circulation Enterprise - Gold Award from the Ministry of Environment.

To address the challenges of recycling composite materials in the footwear industry, another project combined FENC TopGreen rTPEE technology with a one-step separation and decolourisation process, collaborating with the Taiwan Textile Research Institute and other partners. It resulted in the development of a mono-material polyester footwear solution that won the R&D 100 Awards this year.
