Paul Naude to launch new surf brands following failed Billabong bid

Mr Naude’s new brands, Vissla and D’Blanc, will launch at industry events at the start of 2014. Vissla will be aimed at the men’s market, offering swimwear, T-shirts, knitwear, jackets, trousers and shoes. D’Blanc will concentrate on eyewear and other accessories.
Vissla and D’Blanc are based in California, but the products will be made in Italy.
In addition, a third new Paul Naude brand, aimed at the youth market, will launch in 2015. Mr Naude has been involved in the surf industry since the early 1970s. He took up his first role at Billabong in 1998 and helped set up the brand’s business in the US.
