Snow + Rock CEO to take senior Europe role at Icebreaker
16/01/2014
Originally from New Zealand, Mr Taylor has spent 27 years at UK outdoor retailer Snow + Rock, reaching the position of chief executive. At the time of the announcement, he said Icebreaker’s “true Kiwi DNA” was part of the attraction of the new role, but he said he was also intimately familiar with the brand’s products, having worn them to ski, cycle and play tennis and golf.
Icebreaker founder and chief executive, Jeremy Moon, commented: “Dion is an exceptional leader in the outdoor industry with an outstanding track record of growing revenue and profits over the last 10 years. We want to continue the focus on growth, whilst remaining a premium and quality brand.”
Max Hofbauer, who has led Icebreaker’s European wholesale business for five years, will leave the company in June.
