Icebreaker’s vice-president of product has said for spring-summer 2015, the company has used merino in ways that “just wouldn’t have been possible a few years ago”.

“We’re pushing limits on every front, from combining merino with other natural fibres to using new technology to print artists’ designs onto our tees,” said Mark Koppes.

The company is using Cool-lite fabric in its summer ranges for the first time and has fused merino with Tencel, a fibre made from sustainably-produced wood, to keeps wearers cool and dry.

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Icebreaker is sold in 4,000 stores in 44 countries and has offices in Europe and North America.
