New conference for outdoor design industry

Representatives from Icebreaker, Mountain Hardware and Giro Sport Design are among speakers at a new US-based conference focused on design in the outdoor industry, taking place in Portland at the start of May.

Organisers say Struktur is a cross-disciplinary event that explores user experience, research and science and will highlight the technologies that make the outdoor industry one of the fastest growing categories of apparel design.

Eryn Gregory, global director of fit for Columbia Sportswear, will discuss ‘Navigating the Tension Between Design and Business’, with other topics including ‘How to Get a Great Outdoor Product in Front of the Right Audience’.
