US team drops Under Armour speed skating suits

Some of the concern was focused on the new Mach 39 suits, which Lockheed Martin helped design and was marketed as the fastest-ever in the sport.
Kevin Haley, Under Armour's senior vice-president for innovation, said the team would now wear earlier versions that don't have special flow molding and a ventilated panel in the back, which is meant to help skaters cut through the air more effectively.
He said the "vast majority" of skaters are not blaming the Mach 39.
"When you lose, you doubt, you are looking at your skates, your suits, everything: why are we underperforming?" said coach Matthew Kooreman. "I think it looks worse because the Dutch are performing so well that it really rubbed it in our faces."
