ACIMIT forecasts growth in China

ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, has announced it is taking 57 companies to Shanghai-based machinery fair ITMA ASIA + CITME 2014 in June

Raffaella Carabelli, president of ACIMIT, said: “The high number of Italian exhibitors shows that our companies are confident in the growth of the Asian markets, and China in particular.”

China accounts for 20% of Italian machinery sold abroad, with a value of €327 million in 2013.

ACIMIT represents 300 companies producing machinery worth €2.3 billion per year, with exports amounting to 84% of sales.
