Allied’s US facility gains RDS certification

Allied Feather & Down has become the first down supplier to gain the Textile Exchange’s Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certification for its full suplly chain after its processing plant in Montebello, California, completed the audit process.

The RDS was developed by The North Face in partnership with certification body, Control Union Certifications and ‘gifted’ to the Textile Exchange to be used by the wider industry earlier this year.

Allied’s supply chains were RDS certified during the summer.

Down certification has been one of the key topics for the outdoor industry over the past couple of years. Patagonia and the UK’s Mountain Equipment are among brands that have developed their own audit processes.
