Taiwanese down supplier hedges against rising costs
The rising cost of natural down has not dampened sales Taiwanese manufacturer Kwong Lung, which forecasts sales to rise between 8% and 15% next year and has announced Berghaus and Mammut as new clients.
The company said its down sales will be flat - as costs have risen and supply declined due to avian flu, leading to some outdoor brands looking for synthetic alternatives – but apparel sales are rising.
The business is headquartered in Taipei, and has factories in China and Vietnam.
