IAMMAI claims that when the material was tested against the top five brands by the Hohenstein Institute in Germany, it produced better wicking and cooling qualities.
It says while the designs and fabric are ready, it needs outside funding to begin manufacture, so has turned to funding site Kickstarter to raise $25,000. It has already doubled the figure with two weeks to go before the September 17 deadline.
“My normal workout clothes just weren’t performing the way I wanted them to,” said CEO Andrew Gallery, “My cotton t-shirts were wet and heavy with sweat and my clothes were losing their moisture wicking abilities after just a few weeks and I found I was always overheating as I was training for triathlons. I feel that people deserve a shirt that works just as hard as they do, so I did something about it. ”
Misson Athletecare recently launched a range of towels using Coolcore’s design.
