Mission Athletecare launches Coolcore-driven cooling towel
Mission Athletecare, a company co-founded by athletes including tennis player Serena Williams and golfer Sergio Garcia, is launching a towel it describes as ‘revolutionary’ which uses Coolcore’s textile technology to cool the body.

The towel, when wet and ‘snapped’ to activate the cooling properties, features the patented technology that uses capillaries to spread moisture.

The company says there are no chemicals used in the process and the towel is washable, safe and includes UV protection.

Serena Williams said: “Competing all over the world means that I’m exposed to high temperatures for much of the year. The first time the lab team demonstrated the Cooling Towel technology I was blown away, and even more impressed when I started using it.”

The temperature-regulating fibres made by Coolcore, a US-based company, became the first to be awarded the Hohenstein Quality Label ‘Innovative Technology - Cooling Power’ last August.
