Gerber aims to boost productivity with new software solutions

Apparel software developer Gerber has announced two new launches for the apparel industry, designed to save time and increase efficiency in design and manufacturing.

AccuMark 10 features a 3D solution for garment development and pattern making and will be available next spring, with the 3D solution as an optional module.

The new version allows designers to share 3D images and motion files, and centralise data. Designers will have a real-life visualisation of designs and be able to make pattern corrections that can be seen in 3D.

Mary McFadden, director of CAD product management at Gerber Technology, said: “This technology will bring a new level of efficiency and speed to design, and the optional 3D technology will fully integrate with our AccuMark software.”

Separately, Yunique Solutions, a business unit of Gerber, has updated YuniquePLM V6.
Bill Brewster, Yunique general manager, said: “The new development calendar and line planning functions are a direct result of customer input. In addition to these core functions, we also upgraded the user interface to reduce clicks and key strokes so our users can accomplish key tasks more quickly and efficiently.”

The development calendar tool provides product development visibility across the business, saving time and ensuring accountability, it says.

The line planning capabilities allow users to plan business financials and product development, helping to forecast budgets and financials by adding SKU plans and pricing information early on in the process.
