MakerBot boosts 3D printing suite

3D printing machinery maker MakerBot is launching a new product in Europe which it says will help “universities, schools and enterprises to innovate, collaborate and challenge competition with the help of large-scale 3D printing”.

Already established in the US, the MakerBot Innovation Center combines a number of 3D printers and scanners with a software solution. It enables simultaneous printing or access to a combined set of designs.

“Real-Time Prototyping and the creation of 3D-models are getting more important not only in the industry, but also in research and education,” said Alexander Hafner, general manager of MakerBot Europe.

“Large companies and universities now get the chance to effectively manage larger numbers of MakerBot Replicator 3D printers.”

The US company is presenting its systems in at EuroMold in Frankfurt, Germany, from November 25 to 28.
