French ski brand among Gore-Tex newcomers

WL Gore is adding four new outdoor brands for 2015 to the list of companies that use its Gore-Tex water-resistant breathable technology.

US outdoor apparel brand Woolrich is the best known of the newcomers, while the other three, all European, are probably on fewer sports and outdoor enthusiasts’ radar.

These include Hamburg-based sailing brand Gaastra and Skhoop, a Swedish brand that offers functional skirts as well as other apparel for the outdoors.

Finally, Black Crows, a skiwear brand founded in Chamonix by two former ski professionals, Bruno Compagnet and Camille Jaccoux, will also begin incorporating Gore-Tex into its products.
