Puma sells “iconic” footwear brand to New York group

ABG said on completing the acquisition that it would place emphasis on helping Tretorn grow its footwear, outerwear and tennis equipment business in North America and Asia, which it said are key growth markets for the brand.
“Tretorn shoes are iconic,” said Nick Woodhouse, president and chief marketing officer of ABG. “The Nylite was a favourite with stars from Bjorn Borg to Martina Navratilova and was celebrated as one of the first-ever sport shoes that exuded style off the court.
