Outdoor Retailer to remain in Salt Lake City
US trade show Outdoor Retailer has confirmed it will not move venues until at least 2018 after retailers and exhibitors indicated a significant preference for keeping the event in Salt Lake City.
Organisers surveyed more than 6,000 and two-thirds, a large number of whom were specialty retailers, said they would prefer it not to move.
The cost of doing business in Salt Lake for also favourable for exhibitors, said organisers.
OR show director Marisa Nicholson said: “Salt Lake and the State of Utah have proven to be wonderful hosts to the Outdoor Industry and to Outdoor Retailer over the years.
“The community is welcoming, supportive and we feel at home during our two weeks in town. We are pleased to work with the Visit Salt Lake team, various elected officials and the housing and business communities to continue to make the Outdoor Retailer Markets the most significant events for the industry.”
