Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics show gets under way

The autumn 2015 edition of the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics exhibition opened on October 13 in the newly completed National Exhibition and Conference Center in Hongqiao.

Organiser, Messe Frankfurt, said this edition of the event was setting new records with 4,600 exhibitors (up by almost 20% compared to the figures for autumn 2014) from 29 different countries and exhibition space of 228,000 square-metres (up by 30%).

Performance Lab, a special section for manufacturers to showcase high-performance functional fabric, made its debut at this edition of the event, with more than 60 companies, including Invista, Hyosung, Lenzing, Thermore, Creora and Nilit, taking stands there. The Performance Lab floor was busy with visitors on the first morning.
