Canadian study points to infrared benefits, says Celliant
29/10/2015
The University of Calgary study by Dr Darren Stefanyshyn, Dr Jay Worobets PH and Emma Skolnik monitored 12 cyclists, each completing cycling tests on four days, twice while wearing a full body control garment or a similar garment made with Celliant FIR fabric.
Throughout each test, the volume of oxygen uptake was monitored using a breathing mask and metabolic analysis chart. The subjects consumed significantly less oxygen when wearing the Celliant FIR apparel compared with the control garment, said the study’s authors.
Celliant has also announced new sportswear partners.
Boxing and mixed martial arts brand Kali Active has incorporated Celliant technology into a line of wraps, boxing gloves and leggings.
Australia-based compression specialist 2XU has added Celliant to Training Vectr socks, and cycling brand Wheels in Motion has produced a collection of apparel, including denim.
